Hi Kaitlyn and Chris!

A woman with curly gray hair, glasses, and a striped blazer smiling outdoors against a brick wall. In another scene, she stands in front of a colorful, bokeh-lit wall wearing a striped shirt and black pants. In the third scene, she poses in front of a graffitied white building wearing sunglasses, a blue jumpsuit, and carrying a camera.

First of all, THANK YOU for getting in touch! I’m honoured whenever someone reaches out to me, and I’m so happy you saw yourselves reflected in my work!

Your wedding day is so much more than pointing my camera at something pretty and pressing a button - I consider myself your storyteller. I’m there to record the details and emotions of this momentous day so that you’ll remember it forever.

Your big day is gone in a flash, and you’re going to wish you could relive it! There’ll be moments you forget about, and little things you miss. But I’ll be there to photograph them all.

Decades later, when memories have faded, and your family has grown or changed, I hope your photos transport you back to the magic and emotion of your wedding day.

Also, excitingly, I am the #1 photographer in Alberta in 2024 according to Canadian Wedding Photographers! YAY!

Engagement photos!

Send these out with your invites, splash ‘em all over Instagram, or use this opportunity to go to a special spot you may not have the time to visit on your wedding day. If you’re feeling somewhat nervous about being photographed, or if you have have never been professionally photographed, this is a great warm up! Engagement photo sessions are roughly 1.5 hours long, and include 30 high resolution photos. If you only need a few photos, or a special portrait for your invites or wedding website, I also offer mini sessions which are 30 minutes long.

An adventure session!

An adventure session is a photo shoot in your fancy wedding clothes somewhere EPIC (I love to hike, I’ll even help you carry your heavy stuff. And I know lots of great spots we can reach with a car too if you’re not into a hike!) We can photograph your adventure session anytime before or after your wedding, within that first year, or to celebrate your first anniversary! Adventure sessions mean you can get gorgeous photos together, even if your timeline on your wedding day is somewhat compressed. Adventure sessions are roughly 2 -2.5 hours long, plus travel, and include 40 high resolution photos.

FAQ’s

How much does wedding photography typically cost?

Good question - Most folks only do this once and don’t know the costs involved, especially since it can vary so much from photographer to photographer. Here’s a link to a 2024 survey of wedding photographers about their pricing: https://www.fearlessphotographers.com/blog/339/2024-wedding-photography-prices-2024

When will we get our photos?

I can send you a few sneak peeks within a few days of your wedding (unless I'm traveling). My goal is to send your gallery within 4-6 weeks. But, it may take me up to 12 weeks, depending on my schedule. (This doesn't happen very often, and I will let you know ASAP if there will be any delays beyond 6 weeks.)When will we get our photos?

We want you to be our photographer, but can we wait to book? Do you offer payment plans?

I totally understand all the pieces that have to fit before you make the final decisions.

If you’re concerned that may be booked by the time you make your decision, you can pay a $1500 retainer to reserve your date. Then I'm officially yours, and we can figure out the rest of the details as they fall into place. Payment plans are available, individualized to what you need, just ask!

Is your retainer refundable?

It’s a non refundable fee, however if you have to move your wedding, let me know! I can transfer your retainer to your new wedding date, provided I’m available, for a small rescheduling fee.

Can you recommend a wedding planner? Makeup artist? Florist? Officiant? All the things?

I sure can! I'm with you every step of the way! I've photographed hundreds of weddings and I've seen an infinite number of creative combinations of vendors, ceremony styles and schedules. Please consider me your coach, cheerleader, and hype girl. Ask away!

My family wants to contribute - is there an easy way to do this?

Of course. Your family can purchase Square gift cards applicable to your wedding or engagement photos HERE, it’s a great option for your wedding registry or a bridal shower gift idea as well.

How much is travel?

My fee to travel within Alberta, outside of the Edmonton area, is $300. I’ll send you a quote for other locations!

OK! We’re ready to book! What now?

You can pay your retainer with this link and or/this QR code if you wanna be fancy! Indicate which of the proposal options listed above is best for you, and Buffy will send you paperwork as soon as possible to lock in your date. Not sure on all the details yet? That’s fine, we can figure those things out!

This proposal expires in one week... Please let Buffy know if you need more time or have questions.
