iceland travel photography
I love you, Iceland.
A US Army DC3 plan crashed in the 1950's on a deserted beach near Solheimsandur, Iceland. It's still there, a skeleton on the black sand beach, in the middle of nowhere.
These stacks of rock in the ocean near Vik are called Reynisdrangar.
A dog on the beach, trying to catch one of the birds that nest in the cliffs.
This surreal place is called Jokulsarlon. It's a glacial lagoon filled with thousands of icebergs.
I like horses.
Horses like me too.
I know the secret to making a pony smile. I'll tell you if you buy me a plane ticket to Reykjavik.
More to come.
As many of you return visitors know, I spent April in Iceland - possibly my favorite place on earth! I'm just beginning to edit through the photos and video I took there today, and I'm falling in love with that gorgeous country and its awesome people all over again! You can see some photos of my previous trip there in October 2010 here, and more photos here of my friends Shaun and Stephanie, who were honeymooning in Iceland!
Here's a photo of my friend David and his Hasselblad. I love this photo. David took 100 rolls of black and white film with him to Iceland - I really can't wait to see his photos!
There will be loads more Iceland photos to come!
I've escaped to Iceland until April 25! I love this country - I think it's the most amazingly beautiful, diverse, and interesting place on earth! The people here are so kind and friendly, and it's a photographer's dream! Needless to say, I'm taking thousands of photos and having an awesome time traveling around the island with my friends. Here are a few of my favorite photos from my last visit there in October, and I'll definitely share more photos with you from this current visit soon!
