In September, I got to witness my lovely and beautiful friend Erin marry the most adorable guy ever, Matt, on a perfect beach with the waves crashing in the background. It was truly amazing. Perfect, even. And my best pal Bobbi was my second shooter, which was a dream! Even writing this, thinking back on that week, I can't stop from grinning cheesily. Take a look see at some of my favorite photos. Their wedding was held at Gran Bahia Principe resort in Akumal Beach, Mexico:
Not many girls can pull off wearing their underwear on their head, but Erin can. She later stuck these inside of her bun as her "something blue." She is seriously awesome.
Bobbi hung out with Matt and the guys, the following 5 photos are hers.
Goofiest grins ever - so happy! I love it!
This next magic shot by Bobbi, as are the next 2!
We were all pros at tequila drinking by this point!
KARAOKE!!!! YAY! I forgot to mention that this wedding was probably 50 per cent roller derby girls. We excel at having maximum fun at all times.
Bobbi is especially masterful with the mic, especially when it comes to Guns n' Roses.
The party migrated to the resort disco, which was hoppin' every single night, but especially this night !
Erin and Matt, you truly deserve every happiness. xoxo forever, Buffy and Bobbi
Little Charlie is surrounded with amazing, strong and spirited women (and 2 friendly pugs). Here is what one day in his wee life is like. He is so loved.
Dan and Sara's wedding was a really special one. I've know Dan for years, and was lucky enough to get to travel to Poughkeepsie, NY, about an hour from NYC, to photograph his wedding to the super awesome Sara. This was at the end of August, on the same weekend as Tropical Storm Irene. A hurricane hitting New York meant that all the roads and public transport shut down shortly after I arrived in Poughkeepsie, which meant that Sara and Dan's guestlist ended up being a little bit smaller than they expected.
Despite that, their day was super fun! The brunt of the storm hit in the middle of the night, after everyone was already asleep after their awesome party. Aside from some downed trees, and closed businesses, the area we were in was fortunately spared the brunt of the storm.
Here are some photos from their rehearsal dinner the evening before the big day!
And the wedding itself!
The first look!
Check out the rain in the background!
Sara's shoes dyed her toes bright red in the rain!
A big group of totally fun kids!
An awesome party! Thanks to Dan, Sara, and their family and friends for being an absolute riot! We had a blast!
