One of the coolest and most fun engagement sessions/adventures ever - with a planes, trains, and automobiles theme! This was all Karen and Ben's idea, and what an amazing idea it was! Not to be cheesy (well, maybe a little cheesy!), but the way these two make each other smile is the best part of all. Their wedding was beautiful too, can't wait to share it with you!
Being fortunate enough to travel to Italy to photograph a wedding in a legit castle, once owned by the infamous Borgias, is like something from a dream.
So is travelling across the magical Italian countryside in a party bus with the funniest, friendliest group imaginable, then staying at a gorgeous countryside villa steeped in history, with an awesome pool. All this is followed by the honor and privilege of witnessing one of the most sincere and love-filled wedding ceremonies you can imagine. Plus, these folks know how to party! I smile every single time I think about this wedding, and this entire Italian trip - it was so beyond fun, I want to do it every year!
If you ever invent a time machine, I highly suggest travelling back in time to hide in the bushes and witness Ash and Jon exchange their vows in the glowing sunshine of Passignano sul Trasimeno, Italy (and I'll come with you!)
World's prettiest sunset + world's smelliest donkeys = a pretty darn okay place to have a dream wedding.
I think an elopement in Santorini is on every wedding photographers bucket list, and I am no exception. The greek islands are a paradise, and there is something so classic and so incredibly romantic about Santorini in particular. I loved every second of my stay there and I am daydreaming about going back. Thank you for this experience, Regena and Ken!
Christina ordered snowflakes for her wedding day, and I guess Mother Nature was like, "Oh, okay, you're cute! Here you go!!" and then hurled them at us all day long. YAY!
This was a serious DREAM WEDDING, the ceremony took place at Fort Edmonton Park, and the reception was at Old Timer's Cabin - two venues that are so pretty covered in soft snowflakes! Plus these two are both cute and hilarious, and we seriously laughed our faces off all day long. Plus, their party was seriously legendary! It doesn't get much better than this!
Thank you to my terrific second shooter Laura for her amazing work at this fun wintery wedding!
Iceland is my favorite place on earth. We got married there, my family background is there, and I feel such a connection to this magical little island. I think anyone who has visited Iceland would agree that it's an indescribably special place, and there is nowhere like it on earth.
When Raj and Eileen asked me to photograph them in Iceland on their stopover on the way to England, I was seriously ecstatic! I've been there 10 times, so I had the whole adventure planned out in my head immediately!
I also photographed Eileen and Raj's wedding a few years ago, and since then I've seen Raj at lots of weddings , he is the talented owner of A Love Story - a great wedding videography in Edmonton that I love to refer my clients to. Anyways, I consider these two awesome people friends, and that makes sharing my favorite place on earth even more special!
Thanks to Raj and Eileen for being total troopers about the super long roadtrip we undertook together in order to get all these photos! I loved this session so much, and hanging out with these two is always great! (PS - If you're reading this and you ever wanna take me to Iceland, you will have both a photographer and a tour guide who's in the know!)
